Summer Animation Project #10: Jump Swing

Been slacking cause I've been trying to enjoy the last bit of summer. But here's a short swinging animation test. I did this completely on my own, no tutorial for this. Just sort of winged it. I didn't refine it that much.  I have 1 week left before iAnimate. I am ready to start. It is hard not getting any professional critiques when you just do work on your own but now I will be able to.  And I'll be getting them from the top game companies. I can't wait. Gonna try to finish a stationary jump and another attack animation before it starts. I also have my semester starting this week at Cal State Fullerton too. Blah. I hope I can manage both.

Summer Animation Project #9: Wall Climb

Decided to skip out of the lifting tutorial. It was old and boring and I decided to the wall climb instead. I did quite a few of my own adjustments on this one. The way the hand plants and releases and how it slightly moves as the character climbs up.  I also did my own landing to feel like a more action/ninja-like.  And I played with the camera in this test too.  Anyways, I am really happy with my progress so far. I am maintaining my goal of doing a clip every week. I am taking note of animation in games much much more.  The animations in Guild Wars 2 are just amazing. I'm gonna try to see if I can replicate some of them. But for now, on to a character swinging animation!

Sorry the 2nd view shows the controls. :)

Summer Animation Project #8: Heavy Pull

Here's the heavy pull animation. I exaggerated the rest animation at the end where the character drops his hands down too. As always, I will try to add different things to these tutorials if I have the time to. Finally, time to go on to the next test :)

Summer Animation Project #7: Light Pull

This clip came a little bit late. I've been lazy and going out a lot this past week but I'm ready to go back into the grind now. Here's a quick light pull. Gonna make this into a heavy pull too.  I'm going to be cranking out these body mechanic tutorials like CRAZY so I can move onto practicing my own things. List of tutorials left to learn and do:

•Heavy Pull
•Lifting Heavy Object
•Climbing
•Swinging
•Quadruped (Horse)
•Insect
•FK/IK Switching
•Character Interaction

And so on and so on. Lots of stuff to do before this month ends. :)
